It is a good weight and has an unknown design engraved around it. It came from an old Pub which was closing down, then it hung behind the bar of another very old Pub for many years. The bottom seems a little "bent" as though the tankard had been stood in a fire to warm the Ale. It has an old solder spot on the side, and another near the back of the base. The height is a little over 6.25" (over 16cm.) I have been told that it came from India during Victorian times, and by someone else that it may be from Southern Europe. The real answer is that I don't know! Perhaps you do? It holds about a pint of beer. Its weight is 294gm. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
