These pieces are from the old Tucson estate of Mr. Eugene B. Thomas.  Mr. Thomas was an amateur archeologist and engineer who worked in Israel in the 1950s and was given written permission to collect artifacts from work sites so that experts could be shown materials from the area. He was often allowed to keep artifact for his collection.  He was also very detailed in his documentation, labeling all items with the name of recovery location. In addition to myself this piece has been verified by  Fred Gumbart.  Mr. Fred Gumbart is the owner/appraiser of Arizona Galleries (520-322-6388).
