ANTIQUE LETTER OPENER WOMANS HAND STAMPED -SEAL' Description Up for auction is this RARE and unusual letter opener.  Made of pewter and stamped at the base of the wrist between the thumb and first finger.  Very ornate; the hand even has the finger nails impressed.  This piece was purchased by my boss on a trip to England.  She purchased it there at an antique shop and brought it home for me many years ago.  It's a very beautiful piece with flowers and vines going up the letter holder that is being held by the ladies' hand.  The hand is delicate and exact.  Size is 8 1/2" and it weighs approx 1/4 lb.  It is a solid piece, not hollow, and has the stamp on the end of the handle that was used when sealing the envelope (floral shaped).  If you have any questions, please e-mail me via E-Bay mail.  I will be selling many fine antiques in the coming weeks as we are contemplating moving to smaller housing and cannot take it all with us!  Check my seller's list often to keep apprised of the many fine items and tractors, etc we will be selling.We get the shipping cost after the item is sold and packed for shipping even though e-bay is saying that the seller must give shipping costs Before the item is sold.
