Description
Lost World Artifacts Jalisco Large Seated Male figure Click on these numbers for large pictures: 1-2-3-4-5 A fantastic seated JALISCO figure from West Mexico. This is a seated figure from the west coast of Mexico Ca. 100 B.C. to 250 A.D. He has an elongated head with his chin resting on crossed arms and the arms resting on his knees. He has great facial features with what appears to be a bubble coming out of his mouth. This figure is painted with a red-brown slip and has white eyes. He has slight restoration to the tip of the nose, and two restored hairline cracks on the back, but otherwise intact. Age: 100 B.C. - 250 A.D. Size: 10" tall and 6 1/2" wide. Provenance: Acquired from a major auction house from a private American collection. Will come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that will include picture, description and age.
