There is no dents or dings on this fabulous German Pewter Beer Stein.  **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: This is a gorgeous and very unique stein. The sides of this stein feature ornately detailed hunting themed scenes. Both the inside and outside of this stein have a dark aged patina. The first scene shows a gorgeous 6 point buck head view. He is peeking through a bunch of oak leaves and acorns. The second scene features a magnificent 12 point buck with a 1/2 circle wreath under his head. There is a large cross between the set of antlers with what looks like sun rays surrounding it. There is a banner beneath the deer that says Waidmann's Heil. The third scene shows a long hair floppy eared hunting dog with the retrieved bird in his mouth. He is sitting in some tall grass. The fourth scene snows a wild turkey perched up high on a tree branch. He has his tail feathers spread and wings slightly open. All 4 scenes are surrounded by their own individual framed borders. Terrific detail on all these magnificent scenes! Just under the brim, there is a wide polished band which may be suitable for engraving to commemorate that special occasion or holiday. The lid is flat across the top. In the center, there is a nicely embossed emblem with a wreath of oak leaves and acorns. The flip on the lid is quite rare. It is an ornate oak leaf. See photos! The handle is very heavy and sturdy. It is ornately detailed with a band of oak leaves and acorns. The base flares out at the edge. It is smooth with no detail. This is a lovely stein, though it could use a good cleaning inside. This German Pewter Beer Stein will be a treasure for it's new owner. The pictures don't do it justice.
