Description
This item is an antique of the Ottoman period in Greece. It was made in Epirus in account of an officer from Mesolonghi.On the item ancient greek goddess Athena (one of the twelve gods of Ancient Greeks) is illustrated who represented the Wisdom.It is a unique piece ofwork as everything had been made by artists from Epirus who used to create similar items for the traditional festival of Saint Symeon (Ai Simios).It is aged between 1790 to 1820.
