The plates measure 9" across so would be classified as dinner plates. The touch marks on the back of the plates appear to be possibly from Germany or somewhere in that region. They all have three touch marks which say "1790" and have a sword with an angel on them. We are unsure as to origin and age , but leave it to the experts out there.
