Description
Certificate of Authenticity that is enclosed states: This is an authentick Byzantine Bronze Cross AD 600-700. This cross has survived over 1400 years, completely intact and one of the few antiquities that is earable because of the suspension loop. Has legible markings dentoting the wounds that Christ suffered, which for over 1900 years has been the most symbolic of all Christian symbols. The first Byzantine crosses had the footboard placed sideways but later Slavonic crosses put the lower bar at a diagonal angle. This change took place between the 900AD-1000AD. The certificate has a "seal" on it, I purchased this from CCC many years ago. Thank you for looking and have a Blessed Day!
