Description
Hello, after a longer Ebay break, I think it´s time to sell some guitars from my collection. If you are interested in early romantic guitars, you can also have a look at fine-antique-guitars (and a dot and a com). Most of this guitars are not for sale, but.....have a look. In the next month I will sell some more guitars from the very early romanic (all pre 1820)which are not shown on my site now. So have a look from time to time. For auction is a LATE BAROQUE GUITAR 1770 - 1800 labelled: Jaques Boquay Rue de A´rgenteuil a Paris 17?? This instrument is all in all in very good shape, and must have been restored extensively 10 or 20 years ago. Top made from spruce. All top splieces closed. Worm treatment to be seen top right side near the soundhole, near the heel and on one side near the end knob. A small patch - approx 15 x 7 mm on the right side was set in the top. There is also a small piece of wood that had been replaced at the back down at the back knob. Beautiful purfling pattern - same pattern at the soundhole. Purfling pattern repaired at table-heel connection (it could be possible, that the neck was broken once. Headstock with 7 ? holes for wooden tuning pegs. Tuning pegs later and not original. Ebony fretboard and verneered neck, 11 bone or ivory frets. The neck is straight but comes a bit forward. Here are some measurements. Overall length: 920 mm Scale-length: 645 mm Head length: 165 mm measurend from the front Back length: 462 mm Upper bouth width: 214 mm Lower bouth width: 270 mm Waist width: 183 mm Depth at heel: 92 mm Depth at waist: 96 mm Depth at base:98 mm Width at nut: 45 mm I will not conceal, that I don´t trust this label, for me it´s an apocryph one. From the paper consistence, it´s from that time, no question about that. But for me this guitar looks more German than French. But I might be wrong.... Well, I know that the price has nothing to do with peanuts. Therefore it is obvious, that you can return this guitar within 2 weeks, as long you pay for shipping both ways (not handling). I didn´t checked the shipping costs but I think it will be around US$ 250,00, because the insurance will not be even cheap, but feel free to email me for exact shipping costs. The exact costs will be calculated after I know what country it will go. I prefer PAYPAL for payment and bank to bank transfer. Most of all I would like, that you pick up the guitar in my flat in Berlin (it´s the safest way for you and me) Thanks for looking.
