It reads "SOU EL NINO JESUS ANO DE 1814" which translates to "I AM THE BOY JESUS YEAR OF 1814". The entire piece measures 28" high, 23" wide and 10" deep. The bell alone measures 10" across and 8.25" tall at the top of the shoulder. There is no clapper. There are handwritten numeric markings which are likely from a prior owner, institution or auction house. Our client purchased the bell from another collector and we have no further details on provenance. This item resides with our client in northern New Jersey and may be seen in person by appointment.
