Description
The djembe drum has a great cultural tradition in Africa. Although similar in cultural use and significance to many countries and tribes on the African continent, it has infinitesimal but major differences. The Djembe is the drum of the Mandinka people, and its origins dates back to the great Mali Empire of the 12th century. Anigye is Akan word of happiness. Drums play various purposes in many African Societies. Djembe Drums, in recen times, are some of the many sought after musical instrument from Africa. Djembe Drums are used during funerals, festivals, beach dance and of course professional music production. Anybody at all can collect djembe drums and they can also be used as african decorative pieces. The size is 13" in diameter and 24" in height.
