Rare Ancient Tang Dynasty Pottery Horse China, Tang Dynasty 581-907 AD . We are pleased to offer this lovely large Tang Dynasty Terracota Horse. The Horse stands on an integral open rectangular plinth .  Stands with head forward and slightly to the left.   The horse is depicted saddled with an alert eyes/expression and mouth open and nicely detailed teeth.  Groove down back would have held wooden mane. Similarly, perforation at tail would have held wooden tail.PLEASE NOTE: This is a GENUINE T'ANG DYNASTY TERRA-COTTA HORSE, 581-907AD.  This genuine ancient Chinese Horse should NOT be confused with the large number of so-called Tang era figures of recent Chinese import/manufacture being sold on eBay as genuine. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Condition: Adhered clean break of head.  minor wear/earthen patina.  Lots of original white pigment Height: 11 in.
