ANTIQUE Signed TOURTE OCTAGONAL PEARL EYED VIOLIN BOW Start Price USD 35.00 Current Price USD 120.00 Time Left - Bid Count 16 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, November 17, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location New York See more about 'ANTIQUE Signed TOURTE OCTAGONAL PEARL EYED VIOLIN BOW' Description Up for auction this evening is this beautiful old and antique signed Tourte Violin Bow.  The Bow measures approx.  28 1/2 in. long by a little over an inch wide at the frog.  The condition is as seen, it appears to be missing a bolt on the end, and a piece of the rectangle pearl is missing ( see pics).  The eyes are Pearl and the piece is nickel mounted definitly an old and interesting signed piece of musical history.  I believe the main wood is made out of Pernambuco and this is an octagonal bow.  This piece could easily be restored, it wouldnt take much.   Im sure all of you Violin enthusists would have with what looks like only two parts needed ( Nickel plated cover where the hair is put on), abd the end bolt or cap.   I believe this to be a 4/4 size or sized bow for a violin. This item will go to the highest bidder, buyers pays shipping (10.00).  Payment can be made by paypal, payment is due within ten days from the end of the auction.
