It has a few blemishes but not enough to distract from its beauty. It has a nice grayish patina, showing it is quite old. My camera does bring out the grayish color. The bottom of the plate is engraved UM 1700. The Mark on the back is an angel with a horn. We have seen this mark before on a 19th Century German Stein.
