ANTIQUE GOTHIC PEWTER VASE/PITCHER Start Price USD 6.99 Current Price USD 67.00 Time Left - Bid Count 8 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, October 05, 2008 End Time Sunday, October 12, 2008 Location Fredericksburg, VA See more about 'ANTIQUE GOTHIC PEWTER VASE/PITCHER' Description You are bidding on a "ANTIQUE GOTHIC PEWTER VASE/PITCHER".  If you notice on the pictures, every inch of this vase/pitcher, is covered with some kind of design.  It measures from top of handle 13 1/2" and the base is 3 1/4" across.   The handle is actually a snake, biting the top of the vase, (on one of the pictures, you can see the face on the handle.)   On the front is a cherub,  and right below the cherub is a face, and right above the cherub is another face.   On each side is another face. It can't be used to hold liquid, it was made with a 1/4" hole in the bottom. The way they were made,they each had a hole on the bottom.   It was bought at an auction of  an antique dealer that went out of business. There is a small repair on the side, if  you notice in the picture with the arrow. And also, you can notice a bit of red tint as if it was made with a red tint background.  As you can see in the last picture, the bottom is slightly out of round, but it still stands secure. I had two, and sold one.
