Description
ESTATE ~ 5 AUTHENTIC SIGNED DATED QIN DYNASTY TERRACOTTA STATUES/FIGURINES YES, THESE ARE THE REAL DEAL!  MUSEUM COLLECTOR'S PIECES! This item is from a newly acquired estate here in South Florida.  Be sure to check back for more great listings. These are incredible in person.  They are all signed and translate to the Qin Dynasty.  Small versions of the lifesize ones from the same Dynasty.  Not to be confused with the Qing Dynasty, the last dynasty of China. The Qin dynasty is the dynasty that contains 3 emperors. The Qin Dynasty (Chinese: 秦朝; pinyin: Qín Cháo; Wade-Giles: Ch'in Ch'ao) (221 BCE - 206 BCE) was preceded by the feudal Zhou Dynasty and followed by the Han Dynasty in China. The unification of China in 221 BCE under the First Emperor Qin Shi Huang (or Shi Huang Di) marked the beginning of Imperial China, a period which lasted until the fall of the Qing Dynasty in 1912 CE. The Qin Dynasty left a legacy of a centralized and bureaucratic state that would be carried onto successive dynasties. At the height of its power, the Qin Dynasty had a population of about 40 million people. Also, the massive Terracotta Army at Xi'an was built during the Qin as a royal retinue to guard the First Emperor in the afterlife. Measurements: Tallest is 6 1/2" and the shortest is 5". Condition: In general, for their age, they are in remarkable condition.  Some small chips here and there (see the horse pic).  Also, two of the warriers heads were reglued.  I personally would have them professionally redone (since these are museum pieces, it would be worth the expense), but they look fine as is.  Marks: The markings are in Mandarin and translate to the Qin Dynasty. Their standards require sellers to maintain 4.8 & above or be penalized with higher fees & more. I strive for 5-star service by stating upfront my policies and my shipping rate. If you were pleased with this transaction, please respond with all 5 stars! If you are not pleased, let me know via e-mail, and I'll work to make it that way. Let's work together to make a great community, full of fabulous bargains & fun for all."
