This set consists of a magnificent pitcher and 2 matching shot glasses with the lovely Lindenwirtin design. This is a pretty set and would be a very unique addition to the pewter lovers collection. This set is in pristine gift giving condition. There are no dents, dings, scratches, corrosion or discolorations on this very unique set. This is a lovely set sure to bring joy to its new owner.  **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: The winner of this auction will receive the pretty 3pc set shown in the photos. The inlay on these pieces depicts a pretty scene with a man and woman outdoors. This scene is called Lindenwirtin. The outdoor scene shows a very well dressed couple. The gentleman is sitting down and is handing the lady her purse. They appear to have been having a picnic. There is a dressed table behind the gentleman with a pitcher resting on it. Maybe they are going dancing because they are so well dressed. Behind the lady, there is a table rustic old table and bench. There is a ball of yarn and a set of knitting needles on the table. There is a very rustic house off to the side set way back. This scene is repeated on the other side as well. The lettering is also on the lower half of the pitcher. It says: "KEINEN TROPFEN IM BECHER MEHR UND DER BEUTEL SCHLAFF U LEER LEGHZEND HERZ UND ZUNGE ANGETHAN HAT MIRS DEIN WEIN DEINER AUGLEIN HELLER SCHEIN LINDENWIRTIN DU JUNGE!" The pitcher features a footed style base. Going around the base, there is band with lovely swirls. Swirls being the letter S tilted at an angle. Quite lovely! The pitcher has a hinged style lid. Going around the top of the lid is a spectacular floral wreath. There is a lovely finial at the top. There is a large heart shaped pour spout. The flip on the lid is quite lovely and features a scalloped style motif. The handle is heavy and sturdy. It is smooth with little detail. The lucky winner of this auction will also receive 2 matching shot glasses. This set will be a very appreciated treasure for its new owner. The pictures don't do it justice.
